On The Same Time Zone

The days of full moon hold various beliefs and significance for most cultures and across spiritual and scientific realms. In Buddhist ideology, full moon days are important as a time for religious reflection. Some cultures see the moon as a feminine (yin) symbol, representing the rhythm of time. The round circular form of full moon is also seen as the image of wholeness and strength.

Native Americans gave the full moons names to help to track the seasons. The May Full Moon is called The Full Flower Moon, as it marks time of increasing fertility, with temperatures warm enough for safely bearing young and for the plants to bloom. In the scientific realm, the moon is of course responsible (if not alone) for the rising and falling of ocean tides.
